House Tania
This 250 sqm house is located in a residential area of Como, very close to the Lake. The main idea was to incorporate a green area inside to articulate the different public areas of this residence: entrance, living room, dining room, dining and cooking. This green lung, albeit separated by a glass opening, welcomes us at the entrance to the residence and offers us a different space, a new interior landscape.
In keeping with this concept, the aforementioned areas are surrounded by a pond containing aquatic plants and fish. With the dynamic reflections of sunlight, the house opens onto the garden; internal / external interaction predominates.
For the dilemma of a large program in a small area, the spaces are articulated in a fluid way, with shared uses. On the lower floor we will find all the common areas: living room, dining room, kitchen, mezzanine and services facing south. Upstairs the rooms are located at the front of the house, generating a covered garage, while the main suite (separated by double height and stairs) has a view of the back garden.
The white color is pure and noble, which is why it stands out in the home. Contrast with the surrounding nature. Some particular areas contain an expected dark gray, as does the choice for floors: concrete-like tiles. A “petiribí” wood paneling (Cordia Trichotoma) was used to cover the volume that forms the toilet and the wardrobe in the hall. The texture and color of the wood transmit warmth and blend harmoniously with the neutral colors of the whole.
The volume of the chimney floats above the pond and has a glass in the back to be able to see through the outside.
